Southside Beekeepers Club Inc

Welcome to our Club

Southside Beekeepers Club was formed in 2005 by Finian Burns. Whilst a member at Doncaster Bee Club, Finian felt that there was a need for a beekeepers club to service some of the more southern suburbs. Accordingly, he placed a notice in the local papers inviting interested people to come forward and the result was such that he was able to form Southside Beekeepers Club.

Not long after the Southside Beekeepers Club was formed Finan unfortunately passed away. Ian Brown took over the reins with the assistance of some members and commenced to form the current club structure and oversaw the first committee election

Our club currently has a committee of 9 members and approximately 70 club members. If you have a membership query please contact our Secretary for further club information.

We meet on the second Thursday of the month, starting at 7:30pm, at the Dingley Village Neighbourhood Centre 31b Marcus Road Dingley Village Melway 88 F6.

The aim of our club is to share the fun, knowledge and excitement of beekeeping to the amateur home beekeeper through beekeeping courses, monthly guest speakers, field trips and practical training sessions.

Membership fees are $36 single or $60 Family membership.
